  1. World Liver Day is annually observed across the globe on 19 April to raise awareness about the importance of liver health and educate people on how to maintain a healthy liver. The theme for World Liver Day 2023 is “Be Vigilant, Do Regular Liver Check-Up, Fatty Liver Can Affect Anyone”.
  2. India’s External Affairs Minister, Dr. S. Jaishankar, on 14 April 2023, inaugurated the Buzi Bridge in Mozambique, which has been built by India.
  3. The 16th Indian Visa Application Centre (IVAC) in Bangladesh was inaugurated by High Commissioner Pranya Verma in Kushtia town.
  4. Indian women wrestlers have bagged seven medals-two silver and five bronze, in Asian Wrestling Championships at Astana in Kazakhstan and finished third in the women’s teams ranking.
  5. MRF Ltd. has emerged as the second-strongest tyre brand in the world, according to the latest report by the UK-based Brand Finance, a leading brand valuation consultancy.

  12. Ashok Leyland, one of India’s leading commercial vehicle manufactures, has launched an e-marketplace ‘Re-AL’ for used commercial vehicles.
  13. Aman Sehrawat, a freestyle wrestler, on 13 April 2023, won India’s first gold medal, under the men’s 57kg freestyle category, at the Asian Wrestling Championships 2023 in Astana, Kazakhstan.
  14. On the occasion of the 132nd birth anniversary of social reformer BR Ambedkar, a special tourist train named Bharat Gaurav, has been launched from New Delhi that will take passengers to various cities associated with him across the country.
  15. Raj Subramaniam, the Indian-American CEO of global transportation giant FedEx, has been honoured with the distinguished Pravasi Bharatiya Samman award.
  16. Nepal has become a founding member of the International Big Cats Alliance launched by India on 13 April, 2023.
